All the activities of Orient Craft are built around the needs and demands of the buyer and organized in such a way to produce profit. The company goes through a series of steps in developing products from the design state to a finished garment style. Following flowchart gives a simplified overview of the major steps in producing a garment. The detailed discussion of these steps as executed in Orient Craft Limited. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT STAGE There are two stages here- Predevelopment stage (before the order is placed) Post development stage (after the order is placed) Pre development At this stage Concept development based on the buyers needs and ideas developed, a well-targeted product is selected in the first meeting. The design may be completely original, or selected from styles developed in past. Once the ideas of the buyers have taken birth in the merchandisers mind, an initial cost estimate for the style is made. Now the first patterns are made which may be modified later during the fit process. Initial patterns are normally done manually. Using these patterns prototype garments (first samples) are made and reviewed. The buyer sits together with the merchandiser to finalize the looks, eliminate some styles and order for final development samples with more specific instructions. These samples are then reviewed for cost, production feasibility, styling, sourcing for production, fabric requirements and availability, and profit potential. The decision is made at this point whether the garment will be accepted as a part of the new line and the final order is p laced. Post development Once the final selections from the line have been designated for production, the next steps of pre-assembly occurs. The styling and the fit are perfected for the final garment. Making the production pattern A highly skilled pattern master makes the production pattern for the garment in one size and a fit sample is developed for the buyers approval for fit. Pattern grading After the basic pattern is perfected and approved by the buyer, grading instructions are received to produce patterns for that garment in all the sizes. This is called size set. It is again sent for buyers approval and the finalized sealed sample becomes the pre-production sample. No design changes will be incorporated after this. Marker making The next step after grading is marker making. The marker is made according to the ratio of Orders. The marker is a long paper diagram that shows the placement of all of the various pattern pieces for all the sizes produced as they should be laid in order to cut the cloth economically and in appropriate grain line. Ordering of production fabrics and supplies By this time the fabric team will have already be in touch with textile mills and vendors of Trims, buttons, zippers, and other components. Up to this point the company had ordered only enough to make the samples. But once the purchase order and the quality approval for the fabric from the buyer are received, the final order is placed with the vendors based on sales orders. Final arrangements for production are made Production, planning and controls and Methods engineering are now brought into the picture to prepare the production floor for the new style. Final specifications are developed Specifications are brief written descriptions or guidelines for how the garment should be Produced and standards for the finished item. This includes standards for materials used, how Assembly should occur, and details for what is expected in the garment. Final costing Although a quick pre-costing occurred early in the predevelopment stage, a final costing occurs in the post-development stage before production begins. This is detailed costing to provide an accurate picture of what actual costs are going to be and to find ways to minimize costs wherever possible. PRODUCT SOURCING AND PRODUCTION Markers, production instructions and specifications are developed and sent to the cutting room. Cutting occurs with the marker providing the cutting plan. A cut order is sent to the cutting room to determine the quantity of garments to be cut in various sizes. Layers of fabric are rolled out on long tables, marker is fixed on top of the layered fabric and then the cutter uses electrically powered portable knives and follows lines on the marker to cut through fabric layered several inches deep. The cut parts of the garment are then collected, identified, and passed along for the sewing Operation. At Orient Craft, progressive bundle system is followed i.e. workers sew one part of the garment in an assembly line manner. Workers are paid according to the number of pieces they produce. After the assembly the garments are inspected in a separate inspection department to ensure that the garments meet the quality standards expected by the buyer. After inspection, workers finish th e pieces by trimming the loose threads and prepare it for Pressing. Garment comes into finishing department where they are pressed to give a pleasing appearance to customers who will view finished items. Now the garments are ticketed where price tags and other hangtags may be attached. SHIPPING Once the garments are off the finishing line they are now ready to be packed and dispatched Whenever and wherever the buyer demands in the most cost-effective manner. Garments are Shipped to the buyers warehouses in different countries, usually in cartons. Thus we see how many steps are involved in getting a garment on the sales floor and how many people have contributed in important ways to produce and deliver the garment. There are many decisions and activities are part of the apparel development and production process. Each step is important in producing the merchandise that will ultimately satisfy the buyers customers and the Orient Craft strives to do his best in achieving it. FABRIC SOURCING Orient Craft maintains its own in-house centralized fabric store, which caters to the needs of Units spread in Gurgaon and surrounding areas. Fabric storehouse is the actual area where the fabric for production is received or dispatched for processing. Besides storage the Fabric store department is also responsible for the inspection of the goods received by it. Fabric sourcing department is basically engaged in determining how and where its merchandise i.e. fabric will be obtained. It works in co-ordination with the merchandising department and Looks after the delivery of the required goods within the scheduled time and cost. A fabric Sourcer must have knowledge about all varieties of fabrics in order to execute their functions Effectively. Once the merchandiser receives the Purchase Order, the fabric sourcer gets to know the delivery schedule of the raw materials needed to meet the requirements of the Production schedule. Then before seeking the suppliers for fabric, he stu dies the specifications of the goods that have to be ordered. These specs include tolerance limits for all the parameters of the raw material, construction, esthetics, durability, utility and processing performance. The merchandiser receives these specs from the buyer and hands-over them to the fabric sourcing department for procurement of the fabric accordingly. Fabric sourcer also sources for trim fabrics and other specialty fabrics. Once the fabric sourcer knows what he must get and when it is due, he prepares a list of suppliers National or international who can furnish the required quality and quantity, when and where needed at the desired price. He presents his requirements and specs to the vendors and finalizes the supplier on basis of the consistency of raw material supplied, on-time delivery and competitive prices. Knit fabric is also imported from countries like Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. The factory may send the yarn from the store to the fabricators fo r fabric production, buy Greige fabric for dyeing or directly order the processed fabric to the vendors. The fabric sourcer has the responsibility to get the ordered fabric approved from the buyer before issuing it to bulk production. Correct shade match, GSM, color fastness, washing behavior etc. are some of the most important properties that are looked for in the fabric. When the fabric is procured, it needs to be dyed in the same shade as required by the buyer. Here fabric source approaches dyeing units for its dyeing program. First it gets Lab Dips of the fabric in the required color shade from the dyeing unit. These swatches are sent for buyers approval for nearest match. Then only the dyeing unit is given a go ahead for dyeing the goods in the approved shade. Fabric source department has a track of all the information about the goods available in its store. Order Tracking System installed in the store keeps their databases updated with the latest arrival and dispatch of goo ds from the store. These databases inform them about how much fabric is in-house, how much has been issued, what fabric is available in the store etc. People from the department keep in regular touch with the fabric and trims vendors for their latest offerings. They visit other countries; meet the suppliers and source out most up to date varieties of fabrics and trims, which they can offer to their buyers in future. FABRIC ISSUE The fabric store issues the fabric to the cutting department on reproduction of the job card. The job card contains information regarding style no, color, buyers name, and quantity to be issued and issued for which production unit. The fabric department then issues the fabric according to the details furnished in the job card. Orient Craft has fabric library updated with the new fabrics coming in store to help the buyer to choose desired fabric for his upcoming collection. A huge range of assorted fabrics is available in the fabric library. Effectiveness to Financial Accountabilities-Samples for Students

Question: Discuss about the Accounting Theory. Answer: Introduction Accountancy is science where financial transactions are recorded in a methodological manner for efficient business status. Therefore, accounting theory is a logical explanation under some guided principles that creates a framework on how accounting can be evaluated and enables development of new procedures and practices. Accounting systems are guided by these accounting theories with application of accounting knowledge and skills. In real life each and every one must have his or her own financial strategies to achieve utility satisfaction. The government plays a big role when it comes to economic growth and development as it creates the foundation of the currency flow in the economy.(Shahrokhi, 2008) accounting starts from one individual for a reasonable financial status. Individuals mostly operates with banks by depositing their savings and also acquiring loans for investment whereby accounting plays a major role by ensuring a reliable and quality accounting information to meet a credible financial status. Government evaluations and operations tend to rely heavily on accounting strategies to make decisions to stabilize their economy. (King, Beattie, Cristescu and Weetman, 2001)They set financial accounting standards boards to deal with allocation of finances and also having firms to carry out auditing and financial managements with respect to accounting theories and principles on the government revenues and e xpenditures. The government creates a platform by introducing some basic education to produce accountants with sufficient practical experience equipping them with adequate theoretical knowledge for a solid and sound reasoning when it comes financial matters in the economy. The federal government in Australia is an example of a governing institution with strategies to reform their budget. Some of economic theories focuses on; Usefulness, Qualitative characteristics/interpretational theory, assumptions/accounting structure theory Banks operates with objectives to achieve accountable services. (Watts, 1974) They are guided by accounting principles thus coming up with accounting objectives which include; Maintenance of the cash through the cash book and finding out the cash balance on any specific time in order to monitor each and every transaction in the bank, Providing some extra journals for recording non cash day to day operations for accuracy by including all expenses be it minor or major is accounted for, Having credible ledgers to account and find out the required amounts of expenses and incomes or losses and gain or payables and receivables to a have a stand on which level the bank is operating coming up with total capital at any reference cheek list in order to make sure the auditing is in a solid manner, Have cost of production calculations to have critical records between the inputs and the outputs, Assist the management panel with accounting relevant data, ratios, and report to make future predictio ns of the bank behaviour to the economy, To make clarifications about the arithmetical accuracy of the books of accounts The banks got skilled and critical knowledge accountant who are capable of achieving the above accounting objectives by providing consistent, relevant, comparable and reliable accounting information under a conceptual management framework. (Ijiri, 1968) The federal government of Australia had to perform a clear accountability on their expenditures and revenues, being guided by accounting principles so as to set a budget that is capable to increase economic development in the country. In each and every accounting strategy used the results may produce a surplus or a deficit. The government had some deficits hence they had to lay down a wise decision making on how to acquire or gain the revenue. One of the major source the government uses to acquire its revenue is through collection of taxes. Their quality characteristics and critical assumptions on their accounting strategies on how to fill the lop they introduced a levy tax to banks whereby the banks which were affected had to react b ack as their aims to achieve their accounting objectives was interfered to. A request by the bank to the government lower tax imposition and also the unhappy mood by (Mr Morrison) shows clearly that after the levy was injected to the banks their accounting would not be consistent hence relying on accounting principles on how to maintain under such environments. The federal government using precise accounting perspectives on the budget they came up with a decision to levy the banks. This was because the banks got very strong financial means or strategies to adjust when faced by a particular financial constraint. The tax revenue would pass through evaluated financial strategies following the operation of the budget in order to fulfil the required project developments and to maintain the wellbeing of each and every individual in the country.(Levy, Micco and Panizza, 2004.) Some of the issues the bank might come across include; Input of critical accounting skills on which means they should use to maintain their financial status. Some of the ways they come up with is by passing cost to the customers either by lowering the interest rates to the depositors or by increasing the interest rates of the borrowers, Also the banks which tend to behave badly to extra financial impost, the government comes up with a strategy by introducing a penalty to eas ily meet the budget projects, The banks embark itself with a competence managerial accounting workforce to usher in new ideas on how to attract customers to raise funds, The government having accountability on how the banks operate, due to competitions they are capable of predicting that the bank will source excellent means to keep its financial services to the customers friendly The government come across some issues whereby it has to address to the community concerns about the bank behaviour under well accounted arithmetic records. It also has a broader package by also playing part in sourcing government revenue with an aim of fulfilling big new promises in the budget.(Panetta, 2009) the federal government actions have affected several stakeholders such as customers who their concern is to deposit their savings for future use and borrowing loans to make investments. Due to introduction of the levy tax the initial interest on borrowing will increases to raise the funds or reduce the initial depositing rates to encourage more customers to save (Deegan, 2013). Creditors are also the stake holders who area affected by this action , creditors are organizations which fund the banks under well clearly stated financial strategies thus being forced to fund the bank with more finances to encourage the customers borrow more loans and a return with high interest they a re capable to raise the funds. The government as a stakeholder aims at providing regulations and well enabled environment to operate their business, it have to change its financial management on the banks and create means to which the bank can acquire more customers. The banks will tend to set the accounting strategies the government have used to inject a big tax to the specific banks, the banks will try to maintain its capital by using other means to raise the funds. It will come up with precise accounting measures to maintain its official standard of operation. The accounting structure theory or the classical assumption theory is one of key the theory that have motivated the banks to adhere to the action.( Hyo-Chan, 2010) The theory operate under periodicity, economic entity, monetary unit and the going concern. The periodicity will enable the banks to know its financial status on a monthly or annually basis. When it comes to economic entity we understand that activities of a business are separate from the actions of the owner thus the bank work hard to meet its objectives. Monetary unit drives the bank to dominate the financial statements in some sort of relevant numerical currency in the business. Finally the going concern motivates the bank by providing prepared financial statements assuming that the business will continue on without dissolution or threat of bankruptcy. Accountants who have adequate theoretical knowledge and sufficient practical experience manifesting accounting characteristics theory triggered the federal government to make that decision. It involves a wide usage of accepted accounting principles, logical and confirmed hypothesis. The company will have to change the pattern of accounting practices for necessary modulation and modification. Proper theoretical knowledge must be practiced in order to emerge out examinations, analysis and constant observation of decision Banks are financial institutional that make loans and receive deposits providing financial services such as currency exchange, deposit boxes and wealth management in an economy. Due to budget announcement the banks are forced to be systematic employing descriptive, evaluative and communicative theories whereby they are required to take ea ch and every transaction count that is carried out in order to have a crucial conclusion on how to stabilize the tax levy in the country. Referring to (Deegan, 2013) examples of accounting theories include; Positive accounting theory that states the contractual view of the firm bringing in appropriate accounting transactions on the real world events while normative accounting theory gives recommendation on what need to be done, Positive accounting theory enables the firm predictions on which accounting policies needed in their firms and reactions on proposed new accounting standards. Referring to the positive theory the banks tend to rely on the best accounting policies with acknowledgement to cost minimization. Descriptive theory explaining the causes and effects of day to day life. It assists us to forecast how event are treated in accounting from the study of explanations of what has been happening at a particular event. Communicative accounting theory which provide exact forecast of events giving us capability of future forecast of events. Evaluative accounting theory guides us to identify quality and quantity of any event by measuring the qualitative and quantity of the event conce rned. Inductive accounting theory examines and analyses the happenings of the past events basing on repeated experiments and inform us that similar events in future will result in similar consequences. Deductive accounting theory prepared by the method of deduction showing the future way of behaviour regarding the happening of any special phenomenon. Involving accounting strategic theories, implementation and development of accounting information provides legitimacy in generalised perceptions where the firms entail appropriate proper and desirable actions in their systems. Therefore, descriptive becomes the best theory to rely on as it describes the effects of decision made by the government to levy tax to the banks. The bank can be able to make forecast on how the event are treated in accounting be it in the long run or short run. Reference Geiger, M.A. and Ogilby, S.M., 2000. They kill life and pollute more in a short amount of time than pesticides and human waste combined in about 1 year. (See graph on page 2 for more inf. We will write a custom essay on Water Pollution Analysis specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now ) -Radioactive Waste is a very serious problem polluting the lakes and oceans. Submarines release some radioactivity into the water. If a submarine ever crashed enough radioactivity would be released to destroy a region of about 300 sq. miles (this happens because of the nuclear engines) -Human waste is when people dump their. deification in the water and have sewer lines leading to water which also pollutes a lot (little streams lead to big lakes). Human waste is also when we dump garbage in the ocean because we cannot find places on land to dump it. Some more types of pollution are.. Infectious Gases, Plant nutrients that can simulate growth of aquatic plants which then interfere with water uses and, when decaying, deplete the dissolved oxygen and produce nasty odors. Exotic organic chemicals including: pesticides, various industrial products, detergents. petroleum, inorganic materials, nuclear power plants, industrial sites, medical and scientific use of radioactive materials. Water pollution was originally caused by need of space (to dump trash). I can say that the major sources (in general) that cause water pollution are: Municipal, Agricultural, and Industrial. The dumping of garbage was caused by the lack of space in landfills. Instead of recycling some people started dumping the trash in the water, that slowed in 1956 when the Federal Water Pollution Control Act was created. It slowed almost to a halt in 1977 when the Clean Water Act was created. But, it still happens. Companys still dump waste in the ocean, streams, and rivers even though it is against the law. Eventually water pollution will cause there to be no life in the ocean, lakes, and rivers. All the dumping of waste into the water will cause all the water creatures to die off and there will be no tolerable areas for life or people to swim, or anything at all. I dont think many people disagree with saving the oceans and lakes, but many people still dump waste not knowing it or just not caring. It may be because of laziness, like not wanting to bring their oil to a place where it can be disposed of properly. Instead they dump it in the sewer or in a stream by their house. What they do not realize is that the Sewer eventually leads to a treatment plant which does a pretty good job in getting rid of pollution, but it may take a different route and leak into the ocean or another body of water. When you dump in a stream the pollution will eventually coat all the plants and trees and kill bugs, and other animals then it leaks into a lake and spreads out making the lake or river not tolerable to anything at all. Water pollution is horrible. Pollution kills millions of animals insects, and fish every year. And oil spills are happening almost every 3rd year or every other year (just enough time to clean one and another comes along). The Exxon Valdez spilled over 11 million gallons of crude oil in 1989 because of somebodys carelessness. .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .postImageUrl , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:hover , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:visited , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:active { border:0!important; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:active , .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u58eb934904cdbe0054eb9644252eecfd:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Chrloroplasts Essay Water pollution is something that should have been stopped many years ago and still should be stopped. Essay evaluating use of speculators and arbitrageurs to a treasury.

Essay evaluating use of speculators and arbitrageurs to a treasury. "Essay evaluating use of speculators and arbitrageurs to a treasury"A multinational corporation is a business firm that operates in more than one country. An example of a multinational corporation could be an electronics company producing televisions. They may be designed in the UK, parts bought from Korea, China and Estonia and then assembled in Taiwan. These types of firms move a good bit of financial capital around the world.Financial managers in the multinational corporations treasury department have the task of moving capital among nations. Treasuries look after the liquid resources of an organisation. This duty must be efficient and involve financial analysts working in international commercial banks, investment banks, pension fund, life insurance companies and mutual funds. The management of liquid resources has become a very complex task. Multinational corporations treasuries require a wide range of methods to minimise foreign exchange risk. Treasuries need good relations with all types of financial institutions to borrow funds directly and to maintain confidence amongst current and potential investors.Ø §Ã™â€žÃ˜ ¹Ã˜ ±Ã˜ ¨Ã™Å Ã˜ ©: Ø Ã˜ ±Ã™Æ'Ø © Ø §Ã™â€žÃ˜ £Ã˜ ³Ã™â€¡Ã™â€¦ Ù Ã™Å  Ø ³Ã™Ë†Ã™â€š ...Multinational corporations engage in foreign exchange transactions and are exposed to transaction exposure. For example, a firm in Vietnam wishes to import instant noodles form China. The firm in Vietnam may be expected to pay in Yuan. The problem is that, as the Vietnese company has agreed to the price in Yuan, there is a chance that the Dong will weaken against the Yuan in the intervening time between signing the contract, receiving the goods and paying the invoice. This would mean that the Vietnese company would have paid more for the Chinese goods in terms of Dong than they had envisaged when they had signed the contract. This would lead to a reduction in anticipated profits or possibly a loss on the transaction. The use of speculators or arbitrageurs could avoid this...

Business Negotiation Skills Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Business Negotiation Skills - Research Paper Example This essay stresses that the opposition to the project had begun with the filing of suit against Enron in the Indian High Court. Opposition political powers at the state made this a huge issue in the approaching Maharashtra assembly elections and with the change of government; the contract was annulled by the MSEB causing daily loss of US$250,000 to Enron and its partners. The contract was further renegotiated at the behest of Enron with the new state government. After agreeing to new terms and conditions stipulated by the MSEB, and the 1st phase was completed and second phase of producing electricity started but the MSEB failed in paying back the agreed tariff rate. By the same time, Enron also filed for bankruptcy. As the report declares Enron signed a contract with the Maharashtra Sate Electricity Board (MSEB) by putting its and its partner companies’ stakes in Dabhol Power Project. The negotiations for the project began primarily with the two stakeholders from the Indian government, one was the Indian state of Maharashtra and the other was MSEB. The project proposal of making a 2015 megawatt power plant with the proposed investment of US$3 billion was cleared initially. On its side, Enron was not the sole company; it had made and entered into joint initiative with the investment of 10% each by General Electric and Bechtel. It required Liquefied Natural Gas to power the plant, which it arranged from another of its joint venture in Qatar, 1200 miles away from the plant location in Dabhol.

Strategic Change Heriot-Watt University Analysis Essay

Strategic Change Heriot-Watt University Analysis - Essay Example This model encompasses seven different factors that include â€Å"shared values, strategy, structure, systems, style, staff, and skills† which all are necessary to be included to ensure that a model of positive change occurs. It is defined as a holistic model of change that is collectivist in its many segments, thus requiring the university staff and its external partners to work together to ensure that the change efforts occur smoothly and all vision and mission goals are met successfully. The first part of the model looks toward establishing a vision so that shared values can be expressed and developed within the organizational staff and the students. The vision for the change is â€Å"to become a world-leading university that will produce the next generation of global leaders in business and technology – committed to growth and investment in staff and infrastructure†. The tool is to develop a new urgency in high-quality education and learning materials, by pro viding supporting technological know-how and the tools needed to make sure that the technologies needed are used appropriately and meet goals. Centralized services are also being strengthened so that courses offered to students are consistent toward the world-class business and technology goals in areas of environment, climate, business, and technology. It is ongoing professional development for educators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge available to provide excellence in training and education provision for academic students.... Essentially, it is ongoing professional development for educators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge available to provide excellence in training and education provision for academic students. These efforts also take into consideration and provide a foundational structure for systems, skills and staff development that are part of the McKinsey 7-S model of change. Externally, the university students and the educators will be consulting with knowledge leaders in all key areas of the Focus on the Future campaign in order to assist in developing a world-class curriculum for tomorrow’s business and technology leaders. One example is a partnership with business leaders at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering to assist in areas of clean energy provision so that students have real-world knowledge about processes and future strategies related to energy. 3. Driving and restraining forces â€Å"For change to be possible, driving forces must (ultimately) overcome the restraini ng forces that have been identified† (SkyMark, 2011, p.2). The university must brainstorm ideas and concepts that will be directly related to whether or not it can meet its long-term strategic goals of ensuring better education and better educator knowledge about real-time events in the business world as it relates to tomorrow’s industries. The following is a force field analysis showing the likely driving and restraining forces associated with the Focus on the Future campaign: Driving forces are those forces that make up the foundation of the entire change effort, such as external business needs related to more qualified and knowledgeable students. Write responses for discussions Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Write responses for discussions - Assignment Example synchronizing limb movements to facilitate walking or effecting steps that enable the patient to carry out more intricate activities. Early mobilization of the patient also equips the patients with alternatives to actions they could do initially with ease such as bathing, dressing, driving etc. Recuperative treatment begins in the acute-care hospital unit, within 24-48 hours after the stroke, well after the patient’s condition has stabilized. Firstly, we the therapy involves inducing and promoting autonomous movements because stroke patients are often paralyzed and destabilized. Patients are encouraged to shift their position regularly and indulge reflexive and dynamic array of activity exercises to bolster the action of their TIA-impaired limbs. With reference to the extent of injury to the brain, the patient’s condition may improve gradually and steadily from sitting up, aided movement between the bed and a chair to standing, bearing their own weight, and walking independently or aided. Staffs at the mobilization unit, nurses and therapists, help recovering patients to perform more complex and demanding tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and using a toilet, and motivate patients to use their TIA affected limbs. Environmental Ethics Review of Literature

Environmental Ethics Review of Literature This chapter provides the review of literatures that forms the framework of this study. Reviews of the concepts that underpin this research will help elucidate and justify the major elements under which this study is based on. Environmental ethics is the discipline that studies the moral relationship of human beings to, and also the value and moral status of, the environment and its nonhuman contents. It also can be defined as the field of inquiry that addresses the ethical responsibilities of human beings for the natural environment. This field took its name from the 1979 creation of the journal Environmental Ethics. (Botzler Armstrong, 1998) Environmental ethics is the part of environmental philosophy which considers the ethical relationship between human beings and the natural environment. It is the field of inquiry that addresses the ethical responsibilities of human beings for the natural environment. It also exerts influence on a large range of disciplines including law, sociology, theology, economics, ecology and geography. Environmental ethics is that part of applied ethics which examines the moral basis of our responsibility toward the environment. The fundamental questions are the following (Naess, 1973): What are the obligations of the whole of the mankind toward the natural world? How to allocate the benefits and charges deriving from the respect of these obligations? What policies and institutional structures should be established to implement them? The academic field of environmental ethics grew up in response to the work of scientists such as Rachel Carson and events such as the first Earth Day in 1970, when environmentalists started urging philosophers to consider the philosophical aspects of environmental problems. Two papers published in Science had a crucial impact: Lynn Whites The Historical Roots of our Ecologic Crisis (March 1967) and Garrett Hardins The Tragedy of the Commons (December 1968). Also influential was Garrett Hardins later essay called Exploring New Ethics for Survival, as well as an essay by Aldo Leopold in his A Sand County Almanac, called The Land Ethic, in which Leopold explicitly claimed that the roots of the ecological crisis were philosophical (1949). 2.2 Man-nature relationship Nature can be seen as beautiful and harmonious but it also inspires fear in man who has had to fight it in order to survive. Nowadays, nature is threatened by man who has become detached from it. Technology has endowed humans with the power of a major geological agency, which may act on a continental or even planetary scale (e.g. acid rain, photochemical smog, radioactive contamination, stratospheric ozone depletion, climate change). These man-made environmental problems cannot all be solved by technology alone. Changes in human behaviour are necessary, hence the need for codes of conduct based on the ethics of the environment. The relationship between man and nature must be reconsidered. (Bourdeau, 2003) As human population growth, technology, pollution and demands on finite resources begin to tax the earths capacity. A fundamental change in mans attitude toward the environment and most important of all, an ethical basis for the necessary legal and incentives is required for the man to avoid self-destruction in the environment. According to Blackstone (1974), the main cause of environmental crisis is mistaken values and attitudes, which are the attitudes that we can exploit the environment without restrictions, that the production of goods is more important than the people who use them, that nature will provide unlimited resources, that we have no obligation to future generations to conserve resources, that continued increases in human population is desirable and that the right to have as many children as one wants is an inviolate right, that the answer to the problems of technology is more technology, and that gross differences and inequities in the distribution of goods and service s are quite acceptable. The environmental awareness movement which begin in the late 1960s is evidence that peoples attitudes are changing rapidly, and so it would seem that the development of an environmental ethics is but a logical extension of general ethics. 2.3 Environmental Philosophical Perspective There are typically four types of philosophical perspective in environmental ethics, which are technocentrism, anthropocentrism, biocentrism and ecocentrism. Technocentrism and anthropocentrism based on the values centred on technology and human while biocentrism and ecocentrism based on the values centred on ecology. 2.3.1 Technocentrism Technocentrism is the philosophical perspective that meaning values centred on technology. Technocentrics, including imperialists, have absolute faith in technology and industry and firmly believe that humans have control over nature. Although technocentrics may accept that environmental problems do exist, they do not see them as problems to be solved by a reduction in industry. Rather, environmental problems are seen as problems to be solved using science. Indeed, technocentrics see that the way forward for developed and developing countries and the solutions to our environmental problems today lie in scientific and technological advancement. 2.3.2 Anthropocentrism Anthropocentrism is the philosophical perspective asserting that ethical principles apply to humans only, and that human needs and interests are of highest, and even exclusive, value and importance. Thus, concern for nonhuman entities is limited to those entities having values to humans. There are typically two major types of anthropocentrism, which is strong anthropocentrism and weak anthropocentrism. Strong anthropocentrism is characterized by the notion that nonhuman species and natural objects have value only to the extent that they satisfy a felt preference, which is any fulfil able human desire, whether or not it is based on thought and reflection. For weak anthropocentrism, it was distinguished by the affirmation that nonhumans and nature objects can satisfy considered preferable than as well as felt preferences. A considered preference is a human desire or need that is based on careful deliberation and is compatible with a rationality adopted world view, incorporating sound metaphysics, scientific theories, aesthetic values and moral ideals. Thus, weak anthropocentrism value nonhuman entities for more than their use in meeting unreflective human needs. They value them for enriching the human experience. 2.3.3 Biocentrism Biocentrism defined as the belief that all forms of life are equally valuable and humanity is not the centre of existence. In Respect for Nature, Taylor (1986) described the fundamental points of biocentrism. First, Taylor equates the status of human beings with that of animals. He argues that humans and animals share the earth, and should live equally and harmoniously. Second, Taylor says that human and other animal species are interdependent. This rejects the view that humans need animals, or that animals depend upon humans. Third, every living creature is unique, and lives in its own way for its own good, says Taylor. This implies that one species cannot know more about what is good for another species than that species itself. Fourth, Taylor rejects the argument that human beings are inherently superior to animals. But, there is a key problem in biocentrism. This philosophical perspective still pre-ecological, which mean that not really focused on ecosystems, but on individual life forms. 2.3.4 Ecocentrism Ecocentrism is based on the philosophical premise that the natural world has inherent or intrinsic value. There are typically two types of ecocentrism which is the land ethic and deep ecology. Land ethic was first clearly articulated by Aldo Leopold in the late 1940s. The proponents of the land ethic advocate the human responsibility towards the natural world. Proponents of the land ethic advocate a true environmental ethic, valuing nature in and of itself rather than only in relation to its significance for the survival and well-being of humans or other select species. The land ethic implies human responsibility for natural communities. Deep ecology is a more recent ecocentric philosophy. This term was coined in 1974 by Arne Naess, a Norwegian philosopher, as a contrast with the notion of shallow ecology; the latter includes all superficial, short-term reform approaches to solving such environmental problems as pollution and resource depletion. Deep ecology involves an intensive questioning of the values and lifestyles that have led to serious environmental problems. 2.4 Related research with environmental philosophical perspective There are many studies have been conducted all around the world on environmental philosophical perspectives. Bjerke, T and Kaltenborn, B.P., (1999) had been conducted a study entitled The relationship of ecocentric and anthropocentric motives to attitudes toward large carnivores in Norway. The target populations in this study consist of three different groups which is sheep farmer, research biologist and wildlife manager. The results showed positive associations between anthropocentrism and negative attitudes toward carnivores, and between ecocentrism and positive attitudes toward carnivores for all three groups. Farmers, relative to the other groups, scored lowest on the concentric and highest on the anthropocentric subscales. Kortenkamp., K.V. and Moore., C.F., (2001), had conducted a study entitle Ecocentrism and anthropocentrism: moral reasoning about ecological common dilemmas to examine some issues in how people extend ethics to the natural environment. The result showed that the presence of information about the impact of ecological damage on the environment, especially a more wild environment, elicited more ecocentric reasoning, while the presence of a social commitment elicited more non environmental moral reasoning. Another study related with environmental philosophical perspective was a study conducted by Casey., P.J. and Scott., K., (2006), entitled Environmental concern and behaviour in an Australian sample within an ecocentric-anthropocentric framework. The result of this study showed that female gender, better education, and being older were associated with higher levels of ecocentric concern for the environment and reporting more ecological behaviours. Final research paper

Then started sharing my idea with my best friend, Stalin Gomes, who is currently studying at Bridgeport University in Connecticut and is also a under Of this company. He also shared a similar idea and we started working towards building our company in 2010. Then we named it â€Å"Athletic Footwear†. Our company's USPS is â€Å"The best you can have†. We are committed to provide our customers with varieties of top quality footwear. We are working with all the top athletic footwear brands like Nikkei, Aids, Rebook, Puma, New Balance, Gender Armor, Acacias, Sketchers, Vans and Umbra to bring all the new gears to our customers. Our company's marketing targets are runners, athletics, sneaker lovers and others. Our company's top priority ND goal is to provide the best customer service possible and going global. We want to run our business successfully and also want to go international. To reach our goal we need a very successful website and to make it; we need storefront softw are that offers us similar options and services we are looking for. In the article, Starting an online store made easy and ‘really sexy': E- commerce TTY McMahon and DOD Jones talk about the future of e-commerce.They wrote, â€Å"A whole new era of e-commerce is emerging – one where just about anyone can create high-end, custom branded online stores for next to thing. This is being made possible by a crop of emerging online e- commerce platforms backed by venture capital† (McMahon & Jones 2011). These days it's very tricky to find the right storefront software as there are so many storefront software offering different features like hosting, design, pricing and payment options, marketing tools, reports etc. There are also many fake web builders which might be harmful for businesses. The purpose of my research is to find the right storefront software for building a website for our business. The research that I have completed describes the important features that we need to consider when choosing storefront software. Below I have detailed each key features required for building a perfect website for my business. Also, I have selected three storefront software and compared their key features. At the end I have chosen the best one for my business.IMPORTANT STOREFRONT FEATURES FOR BUILDING A WEBSITE There are a lot of different storefront software companies these days offering different options and services. The most important thing to keep in mind when choosing a storefront software is our business needs, like it loudest make sense to use a smaller web hosting if we are building a huge website that requires multiple servers, it wouldn't make sense to pay for a lot of storage and features that we are not going to use if we are launching a small blob. I have decided to compare key features between three storefront software. They are Spiffy, Evolution and Precision Web Hosting. The important features that I have chosen to write about are unlimited w eb hosting, customizable web design, 24/ 7 customer service & security, shopping cart & payment options, product management, marketing & SEE, bile commerce and social media connectivity. Kari Fabian writes, â€Å"This type of application should help you design your website, upload and manage your inventory, connect to a shopping cart, and provide secure payment options to your customers† (commerce Software Review 2014). UNLIMITED WEB HOSTING Unlimited web hosting is the most important feature for building a website.I Want to expand my business in domestic level and also internationally, so it's very important for me to choose storefront software that offers unlimited web hosting. Spiffy and Evolution both offers unlimited be hosting but precision web offers very limited web hosting. In the article, Spiffy; The brains behind the online business the author writes, â€Å"Spiffy takes care of coding storage, backup servers, security and payment administration, in return for a su bscription fee and, with basic plans, a fee on each transaction† (Canadian Business 2011).Spiffy offers Content Delivery Network (CDC) which is large network of servers placed across the world to ensure that customers can load any website store quickly, no matter where they are. According to the article, For busy Evolution, e-business is good, Lori Hopkins talks about the features of Evolution. He writes, ‘Evolution helps businesses build their websites, update product information, offer online coupons, handle credit card transactions and track inventory, all in one place. Its social shopping feature lets customers add e-commerce stores to their Faceable and Namespace fan pages† (Hopkins 2010). Evolution also offers CDC, powered by Zamia, consists of tens of thousands of servers across the globe, allowing shoppers to access any site at lightning speed. Precision Web Hosting doesn't have servers all around the web, shoppers can't have access o all sites and also some loads slowly. That is a clear negative side of Precision Web Hosting as I want to expand my business globally. Ant my customers to access my website from any part of the world at lightning speed. All three storefront software also offer mobile common:e feature which lets users pull up smart phone ready storefronts. Evolution and Spiffy come with multiple hosted email accounts to help business owners communicate with customers. These web-based accounts allow owners to access their messages any†here they have an internet connection. On the there hand Precision Web Hosting comes with very few hosted email accounts to help business owners communicate with customers.I want to communicate with my customers so that I can let them know about new merchandise and sales, so think Evolution and Spiffy are in a better position in this case than Precision Web Hosting. CUSTOMIZABLE WEB DESIGN Choosing storefront software that offers customizable web design is also very important for a build ing a perfect website. In this feature we can customize our web page just as we want it or choose from different readmes templates to make it user friendly and website attractive.Spiffy offers â€Å"Spiffy Theme Store† which hosts a collection of over 1 00 premium and free commerce templates. The Theme Store includes professional looking templates for cloth ins & fashion, jewelry, electronics, art & photography, and other types of commerce sites. They don't have options to design larger websites. They have limited ready to use templates and customizing options. I want to expand my business and also go international and for that I need storefront software, which is going to offer me to expand thou charging me more. Based on this information I think Spiffy and Evolution have better web customizing options then precision Web Hosting. 24/7 CUSTOMER SERVICE & SECURITY One very important feature to look at when selecting storefront software is 24/7 customer service and security from the storefront software company to protect the website and also function properly.Security is very important these days. Especially with increased threats of online fraud and identify theft. In the article, Evolution; Evolution announces credit card fraud protection service for online store owners the writer wrote, † In 2009, the umber of personal records that hackers exposed – data like Social Security numbers, medical records and credit card information tied to an individual – exceeded 220 million records, compared with 35 million in 2008†³ (Information technology business 2010). Evolution, spiffy and Precision Web Hosting offers secure and flexible commerce hosting. They offer PC/Clips-certified securities which are dedicated to keep our site's most sensitive sales and customer data safe from harmful activities. But Precision Web Hosting doesn't have 24/7 customer service. As Precision Web Hosting doesn't have 24/7 customer service, think it's not perfect for my business because I want my customers to get 24/7 customer service so that they are ready to do business with my company over and over again. SHOPPING CART & PAYMENT OPTIONS Another very important feature we need to consider when choosing storefront software is shopping cart.Evolution, Spiffy and Precision Web Hosting a ll accept credit cards. Also, unlimited plan users can receive automatic shipping rates from major shipping carriers like LASS, USPS and Fed. While Evolution and Precision Web Hosting also has similar features but Spiffy has better product management and product tracking options. So, Spiffy is the best option to setup a shopp ing cart for our business website. PRODUCT MANAGEMENT Products make up the business of commerce.A great range of products keeps customers coming back for more. But adding thousands of products is not an easy task and is often vulnerable to errors. Also delivering and keeping track of the product is also a very important task. Spiffy have Track product inventory option through which they can help us avoid selling rodents that have run out of stock, or let us know when we need to order or make more of our product. Evolution has mass import service which can do exceedingly fast product setup and we can relax as their skilled data feed managers guarantee us error free product updates. While Precision Web has a very limited product management service with no product tracking options. As I am going to expand my business in the feature I will have more products and to track them need a storefront software that has good product management service. So, think Precision Web is not a good option for my business. MARKETING & SEE Marketing and SEE is another very important feature that we need to consider when choosing a effective storefront software for our business. SEE stands for search engine optimization.Spiffy, Evolution both offers advanced SEE built right into our store, we can earn higher organic rankings in Google, Bingo and other search engines. Also, they automatically help to earn rich snippet displays like Star ratings, pricing and stock Status in organic search results. Evolution also offers their customers to sell their products on Amazon and eBay. On the other hand, Precision Web also offers similar eaters like Spiffy and Evolution but are limited. They don't options for selling in Amazon and eBay.Spiffy, Evolution and Precision web all offers email marketing options which helps customers to know about all the latest updates and discounts of the business. I am looking for the best marketing and SEE featured software and I think Spiffy and Evolution are very good options to choose from. MOBILE COMMERCE These days almost 30% of the commerce sales are made through a mobile device. Spiffy plan includes a free, built-in mobile commerce shopping cart. This means our customers can browse and buy from our store hill on the go, using any mobile phone from anywhere. Also, we can manage our store on the go and choose from beautiful mobile responsive themes. Evolution also helps shoppers buy from businesses anytime, an)Where by delivering a completely mobile optimized experience, from browsing all the way to checkout. Instead of making shoppers fumble through the site with their thumbs, site will be fully compatible with any smart phone or tablet device. In Precision web shopping cart automatically re-sizes the Shop template to fit mobile Screen resolutions but doesn't have beautiful mobile themes to choose from. So, I think Precision Web is not a good choice for my business.

Safe guarding vulnerable adults Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Safe guarding vulnerable adults - Essay Example However, such resources have complicated literature search, necessitating establishment of sophisticated search strategies. This essay focuses on the literature searching process undertaken to obtain literature for my presentation. The first search strategy applied in the study is the use of well-build clinical questions. In this context, well-built research questions are questions deduced from the research topic such that they respond to key issues that forms the topic (Affuso, Capello, & Fratesi, 2011). My presentation addressed safeguarding vulnerable adults. I used the topic to formulate research questions for the presentation. The main questions considered for the search included: What causes vulnerability among adults? What is the variation in terms of vulnerability across gender and social class? (Thacker, 2011). What is role of the federal government in caring for vulnerable adults? In addition, what are the impacts of pension among vulnerable adults? The four questions were used to locate relevant literature from clinical databases. In each case the journal article or literature, material was selected according to its response to a particular question. For example Antonio, Roberta & Ugo (2011), argues that globalization and liberal social systems contribute to neglect of old people. Thus, the article responds to the second question, which is concerned with vulnerability across different genders and social class. Cooke-Hubley & Maddalena (2011), advocates for counseling and medical support for the elderly and other vulnerable groups. The article provides a precise response to the question concerning the causes of vulnerability among the adult population. Lastly, Payne (2008) analyzes strategies that could be applied to safeguard adults at end life. The article provides a sufficient response to the questions related to the impacts of pension on the elderly population. The second literature search strategy utilizes Key Words. Key words are words and phras es that form the basis of a research question. The key word strategy is the most commonly used strategy particularly when using electronic databases such as BNI, Medline, CINAHL, and ASSIA. Key word defines the boundaries of a particular search and, hence simplifies the search (Harvard, 2007). While using this strategy I used the already constructed research questions (Davies, & Nolan, 2006). Each of the research question was broken down into key words and phrases for easy search. In a particular search operation, key words were combined using Boolean operators to yield required results. Synonyms for key words are also required to facilitate the search. The following key words were developed from the research topic Safeguarding, Conservation, Protection, Defense vulnerable, liable, disposed, prone, subjected, adults, aged, elderly, and weak (Work, 2009). A particular combination of the key words yielded the required resource. Moreover, truncation of words was carried out to facilita te the search. Word truncation involves finding the base of key words. The following words are the basis for key words used in the search safe, conserve, and vuln* The following table provides a sample chart used to explore â€Å"Safeguarding vulnerable adults† using key words. NURSING ASSIGNMENT Substances- alcohol Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

NURSING ASSIGNMENT Substances- alcohol - Essay Example Alcohol may also cause one’s death. Most common risk of alcohol is intoxication which can result in road accidents, child abuses, suicides, falls and drawings, fire injuries and also industrial injuries. Long term effects may comprise of heart damage, cancer, risk of breast cancer among women, damage of livers and brains, memory loss are few among other problems (Government of Australia, n.d.). It has been observed that during the fresher’s week or in the periods after and before examinations, pub culture dominates. Lack of parental supervision, stress associated with studies, peer pressure, stress of living away from home are few of the other reasons that lead to the initiation of drinking behavior. Heavy drinking among students can cause low academic performance because of reduced concentration level, high risk of accidents and sexual transmitted diseases like HIV AIDs (Gill, 2001). People, irrespective of age, prefer drinking alcohol because of many reasons. Reasons can be social custom, relaxation, enjoyment trends, and peer pressure, additional pleasure, escaping problems from life, to overcome loneliness and also to boost self confidence (Oracle Think Quest, n.d.). Reasons behind initiation of consuming alcohol can be related to psychological problems, sexual abuses in family and working environment, unsuccessful attempts to succeed in life, problems in relationship, job, dependence, and pre disposition (Kelebek, 2009). The other major influencing factor among adults and teenagers is that the alcoholic industries are directly focusing the youth segment as their target market and conducting wild marketing through mass media promotion through televisions, films and banners (Boseley, 2010). Another important reason, why adults go for alcoholism might be because of family ambience. The family might comprise of alcoholic parents, parents not able to fulfill domestic

Conflict, Decision Making, and Organizational Design Essay

Conflict, Decision Making, and Organizational Design - Essay Example On the other hand, professional differences, which entail approach to assignments, skills and knowledge, also lead to conflicts, especially when an assignment is handled by a team. In the current world, various technological developments have led to more efficiency in the conduction of various assignments. As such, when two people conduct the same assignment using varying technologies, conflicts usually arise. Moreover, as businesses develop, there is usually the necessity of mergers or recruitment of new professionals, which may lead to the rise of conflicts. Despite the presence of such conflicts, many people usually find themselves in unhealthy conflicts, which usually poison the work environment. As such, it is necessary for employees, and management to understand the best way to solve such conflicts when they arise. This paper seeks to give an in-depth evaluation of the negotiation strategies used to address various workplace conflicts. Additionally, how evidence-based managemen t could be applied to the work environment, blocks, stages, and methods of creative decision making to determine the best approach T-Mobile should follow when making managerial decisions, and the environmental and strategic factors that affect the organizational design of T-Mobile will be evaluated. How I could apply negotiation strategies to address potential conflicts in the workplace. Negotiations are very essential in coming up with the best solution for different engagements in the workplace. In most cases, negotiations are unavoidable and thus being knowledgeable on the best negotiation strategies is essential. Negotiation involves various stages, which include preparation, dialogue, clarification of goals, negotiating towards a win-win situation, agreement and implementing the solution realized. Since conflicts also occur in my workplace as a customer service professional for T-Mobile, a clear understanding of how to handle conflicts as they arise and avoid poisoning of the w ork environment is necessary. Therefore, an understanding of factors such as technological developments, culture, age, personality, professional differences among others will help in taking the best approach in handling conflicts by making good negotiations. In this case, getting a clear overview of the underpinning factors leading to such differences is essential. In most cases, when conflicts arise, people usually make personal judgments, which in some cases do not solve the conflicts as anticipated. As such, having been well informed on how conflicts arise, I will always withhold judgment and use efficient problem solving techniques to ensure that the problem is solved completely, and that future occurrences of such conflicts are effectively handled. I will never ignore any conflict that arises as they usually arise out of something. In this regard, I will always utilize the structures implemented by T-Mobile to effectively handle the conflicts. Additionally, I will be very obser vant on how I handle every person or situations to avoid being at the centre of any conflicts. This is because, despite an act being minute, it can have adverse effects, which are beyond the expectations of many. Thus being extra cautious will help a great deal in avoiding occurrences of conflicts in future. Sharpening my negotiation skills and conflict management skills will be very effective in handling confl

Psychosocial stage of development Essay Example for Free

Psychosocial stage of development Essay According to Erickson’s psychosocial stage of development my age lies under the fourth stage i. e. industry versus inferiority. This stage starts from age 6 to 12 and in this stage a child is shifting from dependent circumstances to more independent circumstances. Like in this stage he becomes more desired to achieve something or to finish his tasks completely. He came out of that age of fantasy and became more responsible because after entering this stage a child starts learning new things, he knows if he’ll do well in school he’ll b admired by his parents as well as other people. If a child experiences the fulfillment of his achievements basically anything positive or constructive will easily be through by this crisis stage. On other hand he also knows that if he’ll b failed to complete his task then he will face criticism from family and others as well. If a child faces failure at his school responsibilities or even worse than that he is ignored and no one wishes to accept or develop his capabilities and strengths or not given a chance to discover their potentials then it’s quite obvious that a child would feel inferior or low and inadequate to do anything (Myers, 2009). Psychosocial Stage of Development Influences Behavior and Relationships: As per Erickson’s psychosocial stage of development my behavior and relationships are very much influenced by this theory of Erickson. Influences which can be seen according to Erickson’s psychosocial stage development on me were like when i start going to school at the age of three i have no idea that what will the situations i will be going through. My mind was not big enough to understand these things but as i got into junior high school i came across certain things which I have to handle by myself whether good or bad. Next thing was my relationship to my peers or companions which is based on some rules like if I am going to play some game like baseball i need a team to play with. This shows that I have developed a strong relationship through teamwork (Myers, 2009). Than if looking to my studies I have a certain group that studies along with me, if we have a homework given we do it regularly by which my behavior patterns got controlled and i get disciplined every year after. I went through all these things and finally i got hold on how to handle psychosocial crisis because having good relationship with your peer group and develop a good behavior can lead any person to the path of success. And if one person has made good decision at this level then he can easily be cautious about taking decisions on next levels or can say that he’ll easily be industrious (Cash, 2002). Positive Influence of Psychosocial Stage of Development: Positive influences which come out of my psychosocial stage development were that i have strong bond made between me and my peer group because we use to play and study and study together. By doing this we came across many victories which made us proud and give a sense of satisfaction that we can do something that can be appreciated by our families and other people as well. As this is the middle age in which a child wants to do things by his will without interfering of others. At my academic level things have been very positive for me as there is full support of my parents by which i have developed certain skill at my own. Like if you talk about behaviour i have made a timetable and put things which are suitable for me to do at certain time frame. My behaviour towards my studies would also be considered positive because i got support from my parents and also from my teachers which helped me in many ways(Cash,2002). Negative Influence of Psychosocial Stage of Development: Talking about negative influence of my psychosocial stage of development there are certain things which made me feel inferior when i was in the middle childhood stage were that when in school teacher used to say that you have to finish your lunch even if I am not that much hungry which made me feels awful many times. Regarding this food stuff which at my home also has been an issue for me was that in that middle childhood stage i use to see my mom cooking different cuisines for our family. Sometimes i also feel like to cook something for my family but my mother always use to lower my enthusiasm by telling me that I am too small to cook. This have been left a very negative impact on me and that’s why i still don’t know how to cook food properly because somewhere in my mind I have this complex that if I will cook something it would not be worth it(Cash,2002). Other Developmental Issues Influenced My Personality: Other development issues influenced my personality in such a way that when i was born i. e. when I am in the stage of trust versus mistrust, although i was too small to know that what happened with me at that time but looking to myself i can say that my family or my parents have taken very good care of me, because i don’t see any many negative points in my personality and it’s all because of my parents. The example of trust can be given that how much I am close to my parents. Next stage would be autonomy versus shame and doubt in which a child develops a sense of being a separate human being and wants attention that everyone knows him individually. Regarding this stage there are some negative aspects of my personality that after reaching to an age of three i still was not able to go to toilet by myself because i was not properly trained. So at that time this bring me shame that kids of my age are toilet trained but I am not. But on the other hand i was very much trained to do mess while I am having my food which helps me a lot handle spoon in my hand on my own. After that another stage come which is initiative versus guilt in which a child starts taking decision of his own that whether he wants to eat or not or what things he should do. This is the age which is also known as play age, when a child starts going to pre-school or nursery. In this age a child wants to start doing things on its own or wants to take risks. Like in this stage a child starts going to school and there he learns different things and skills. Like I have said my academic time has helped me a lot to develop my personality (Cash, 2002). If I have to experiment something which help me further then my teacher encourages me to excel my abilities and this helped me a lot in taking decisions in my afterlife. Regarding the stage which I have picked i. e. industry versus inferiority these above developments have influenced my personality till my middle childhood stage (Cash, 2002). Conclusion: If i have to say that how much influenced erickson’s psychosocial stage of development has made then to me its 90% correct that whatever he gives the theory can help people to understand their children if they are facing difficulties regarding their mood, behavior or actions. Through his theory people should know that a child cannot be treated forcefully he should get full time to develop himself. It’s been seen that people who went through the crisis of their early adulthood and resolved them successfully, they who are also successful in their adolescence. REFERENCES Myers, D. G. (2009).
